First aid saves lives – and helping people to become life-savers is at the heart of what we do. The Red Cross can train you in first aid skills both at work or in your own time. We also provide first aid cover to keep people safe at thousands of public events each year. And if you’d like to be someone people could depend on in an emergency, why not join us as a first aid volunteer? We offer flexible, friendly and easy to follow first aid training in the workplace as well as a wide-range of courses for the public. We can also design first aid sessions specifically for your group – perhaps you and your friends would like to learn first aid for babies and children at a time and place to suit you. Other courses are available for motorists, athletes and babysitters. Whether in the UK or overseas, we respond to hundreds of disasters every year. From floods to earthquakes, we're among the first to arrive, and we stay long after the crisis is over.

FOYER for the Island has 45 rooms for young people from 16 - 25 years old in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. We also offer a range of services that help support the transition to personal and economic independence. In many cases the Foyer delivers services which extend beyond Foyer residents into the local community. What we offer: accommodation for up to two years; career guidance and job search help; training practical support and advice; support to move on to independent living; help with basic skills.
