Open to all ages Islington Boxing Club is a long established, friendly Boxing Gym, run by volunteers. Based in Upper Holloway it provides boxing sessions for the whole community, ranging from competitive boxing classes, beginners academy classes and recreational sessions. We especially look for and encourage young people to attend, giving them a focus, showing them discipline and teaching camaraderie. The home of the Islington Boxing Club. We cater for serious boxers who want to compete as well as recreational who can enjoy the same rigorous workouts without the full contact combat. Recently the club has also started working with local schools that train at the club as well as other boxing themed activities such as Chess Boxing. The Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society is one of Britain's best known transport restoration groups, having originally been established back in 1960 by students from Liverpool University, who wanted to save one of the city's famous Green Goddesses then operating in Glasgow. Since then the society has expanded to include people from all walks of life and gone on to resurrect more than half a dozen tramcars from derelict hulks. Today its collection amply illustrates the development of Britain's first generation tramways from the horse and steam tram era to a fully enclosed electric bogie car. There's also a single deck continental tram and an overhead maintenance wagon from the 1940`s. Nowadays, the historic vehicles operate on the mile long Wirral Heritage Tramway with its spectacular views of Liverpool's world-famous waterfront and perform a unique educational and recreational function.

Situated in 46 acres of stunning Dorset parkland, just south of Sherborne, Leweston is a Catholic independent day and boarding school welcoming girls from ages 2 to 18 and boys from 2 to 7. From September 2010 we are extending our provision for boys by taking them as day pupils into the first year of the Prep School (Year 3). Every class has two hours of PE timetabled each week, the school has a boys and girls football team which proudly take part in local leagues and competitions. The school places great emphasis on Music, it has a specialist music teacher who runs our choir and provides music tuition in a range of instruments, at the moment the school is developing its own orchestra. In KS2 we have French teaching once a week and celebrate language of the month to raise awareness of different languages in school. Our children enjoy art and often choose art based activities in our school's Friday afternoon Shining Star Time. Our Extended services supports our work in school in these areas as we have a range of sporting, drama, gardening and art clubs. We use our locality well to provide trips to enrich our curriculum including trips to the London Zoo, Local Wildlife Areas, museums and theatres.
