We always have one doctor on duty during standard surgery hours. They are there to respond to emergencies only. For outside surgery hours please phone the out of hours services. We run an appointment system in this practice. You will be given a time at which the doctor or nurse hopes to be able to see you. We will try to ensure that you are seen on time, but some consultations take longer than others and we have no way of knowing about this in advance. If there is a patient with an emergency or serious problem we will give them priority

The Heatherview Medical Centre is located in the Parkstone area of Poole - off the Alder Road at Talbot Heath. We also have a branch surgery in Oakdale: the Fernside Surgery. Much of this work is undertaken in normal surgery but specialised clinics may be available. We encourage all our patients to take responsibility for their health, both in disease prevention and treating existing diseases. As they say, 'prevention is better than cure'.
