Our Safer Neighbourhoods teams, response units and investigative officers are always on call to help you. To work with our local partners to keep Wandsworth moving in the right direction for all of our communities, who live together in this proudly diverse borough. To continue to deal robustly with prolific and persistent offenders. We will be doing this with our partners within the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), South West London Magistrates, Kingston Crown Court, the Probation Service and Drug Treatment Agencies. This work has been established and will continue throughout the year.
West Midlands Police are working closely with the Princes Trust programme and Wolverhampton College to offer a free development course for 16 - 25 year olds. The course is run from Brownhills police station and lasts for 12 weeks. The programme is designed to improve and develop skills and offer further education and training to help the attendees find work. It is a personal development programme which, through practical support including training and teamwork in the community, helps them realise their potential whilst developing their confidence, motivation, communication skills and self esteem.

The Roads Policing Unit of Dyfed Powys Police is committed to reducing road casualties and denying criminal use of the roads through effective law enforcement. With a policing responsibility that covers nearly two thirds of Wales’ land mass and all of it’s North South arterial routes, the Unit operates from a number of strategically located bases across the Dyfed Powys Police area. Officers and staff on the Unit deliver a service ranging from the investigation of fatal road traffic collisions, targeted road safety campaigns addressing local and national needs, VIP and abnormal load escort through to the provision of a response service to our community. The members of the Roads Policing Unit work closely with numerous partnership agencies and organisations as well colleagues in the other Welsh and neighbouring Police Forces in order to deliver an effective service.

We are working with young people so they are aware of the dangers and repercussions associated with knives. We have police officers based in all senior schools and PCSOs attached to all primary schools. These Safer Schools Officers educate pupils about the dangers of knives through lessons and innovative projects, and stop and search pupils whenever necessary.
