There is an excelelnt range of activties available to all students: we have ArtsMark Gold and Sportsmark. There are trips and residentials both in the UK and abroad; students lead groups such as Human Rights or Fairtrade. Participation is excellent and individuals achieve highly representing their county and country, going to National Youth Theatre and Dance City's advanced academy. Students work with professinoals and lead activities for younger childre. The Youth Work Department offers a wide and excellent variety of activities on and off site including weekends and holidays. Some of these include middle school age children and clearly help with transition.

Home from Home is a private Day Nursery for children aged 0-5 years. The Nursery is managed by Mrs Julie Boardman a successful, well qualified and experienced teacher of ten years, and Mrs Liz Watts also a well qualified, successful and experienced teacher and registered child minder, as well as being very well respected members of the local community. The Nursery is staffed by fully qualified and experienced staff, who have the knowledge and expertise to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which the children can develop and achieve their true potential. Over 70% of our staff are NNEB, B-TEC or NVQ level 3 qualified. The other staff, some of whom are mothers themselves, are working towards qualifications.
