At All Saints' we aim to provide a caring and stable atmosphere in which the child can develop fully. We care very much about the needs of each individual child, and our main intention is to help each child realise his/her maximum potential The school has approximately 250 pupils. There are eight classes arranged into two classes in each year group. Each class is of mixed ability. The children work as a class, in groups or individually, according to their abilities and the nature of the work in hand. For English and Mathematics the children are taught in sets according to their ability.
Hampton Vale Primary School, we aspire to make a tangible, positive difference to the community of Hampton Vale and to society in general. The school is situated in the southern part of Peterborough on a new housing development. We are minutes away from the centre of Peterborough and within an easy drive to Cambridge, Huntingdon and Stamford. The area is within commuting distance of London. Children are drawn predominantly from the residential neighbourhoods of Hampton Vale and Hampton Hargate, with a few children out of the catchment area. The school was built in 2004 in two building phases. We have substantial outdoor areas and two beautiful courtyards that support our curriculum provision. Each year group has their own entrance, cloakroom and toilet area.

Our main aim is to provide outstanding education and care for our children. We work hard to involve families in all aspects of life within the school and are proud of our community work.
At St John’s Church School we believe in offering a broad and balanced curriculum. We always seek to provide an education that is appropriate to the needs of each child. We are aware that all children are individuals with different needs and we provide for these both within the normal class situation and through our Special Needs Policy. This sometimes means that children will receive additional help from a teacher or from a Teaching Assistant, either in the classroom or in another area of the school e.g. library. A flexible teaching approach will be used throughout the various stages of your child’s education. Whenever possible children will be taught in year groups of mixed ability. However, it may be necessary to organise some classes in mixed age groups. The school is co-educational and reflects the rich cultures of Orton and Peterborough.
