Opened in February 2000, the Dorchester office is located on HRH The Prince of Wales’ pioneering new Poundbury development on the Duchy of Cornwall land to the western side of Dorchester. Our core business involves managing investments under discretionary or advisory agreements for individuals, companies, trusts and charitable organisations. Tax advantageous ISAs are also used where suitable. We are also experienced in the management of SIPPs and offshore bonds. Above all, we appreciate our clients are individuals and we treat them as such. We place great emphasis on providing a friendly and professional service where clients are assured whole of market and unbiased advice that is genuinely tailored to their personal circumstances.
Established in 1938 as George McKerrow & Co, the Dumfries office became the first branch office of Bell Lawrie in 1970, which was acquired by Brewin Dolphin in 1993. Over the ensuing years we have adapted to a significantly changed business environment, but throughout have been proud to provide a personal, local service in all aspects of fund management as part of the national Brewin Dolphin group. We offer discretionary and advisory services for individuals, professional clients and trustees. Our range of supplementary services include 'tax efficient' investments including ISAs and SIPPs and where appropriate capital gains tax and inheritance tax products are at our disposal. The branch is managed by Gordon McKerrow and Stuart Wood.
The Dundee office of Bell Lawrie opened in 1998 with 10 staff. In 1999 the business of Capel-Cure Sharp was acquired and a further acquisition was made, in 2002, of the financial services business of Aitken MacDonald. The office now has a total of 19 staff including 4 Divisional Directors, 6 Investment Managers and 4 Financial Planners. Our services to clients range from the management of small collective investment portfolios through to bespoke portfolios for individuals. We also have particular expertise in managing Self Invested Personal Pensions, investment bonds and charitable funds.
The Edinburgh office, based in Drumsheugh Gardens, has over 100 members of staff involved in private client, trust, pension and charity fund management. The office originated in 1999 and became part of Bell Lawrie in 2002, when the financial services business of Aitken MacDonald was acquired. The Elgin office has a staff of three two Financial Planners and an Administrator, who work closely with our Dundee office. The office provides advice in all areas of financial planning from investments and pensions through to inheritance tax mitigation. In conjunction with our Dundee office we also provide a full Investment Management service.

The Reigate office opened in 1990, the first mainland branch to open outside of London. Since thens the branch has expanded fourfold and now consists of a well established and highly experienced team of six qualified investment managers and their support staff.
