Went to Michelangelo's Italian at The Hedgefield near Ryton last night..Early doors special just under £6 for starter/Pizza/Pasta, coffee/ice cream. We ordered from a menu you could barel decipher..Large plasic laminated thing, badly laid out. Yet their daily special at £15 was on a seperate menu.
When the bill came (with a couple of drinks) the total was £30!. I queried this to be told that my wifes pizza was "special" and not part of the £6 deal. Consequently her pizza was £8, and her starter and coffee was also priced from the standard menu making her proportion of the bill £15! I was livid, but the waitress went into a standard scripted spiel that she had explained this to us when ordering..Which she had not!
Today I was speaking to someone who had the identical experience just recently..
So, buyer beware! It looks like a crafty scam...And to top it all the food was rubbish...barely cooked, wet in the middle, tateless pizzas so we wont ever go back!
