Our pupils are drawn mainly from the local village but we also attract families from outside our immediate catchment area. Barton Stacey school is an integral part of the village community and has close links with the village church. Our classrooms are large and well-equipped with each room having its own practical area, computer bank and direct outside access. Our ICT suite provides opportunities for class teaching while the whole-school network means pupils can retrieve their work from any workstation. We put great emphasis on providing opportunities for all learning styles and preferences. Our curriculum is designed to develop independence, creativity and high achievement in all areas. National Assessments at the end of the Primary years indicate that our pupils' attainment is consistently above County and National averages in Literacy and Numeracy.
Our school strives to create a high quality-learning environment that emphasises relationships as an important foundation for all learning experiences. We have a strong emphasis on active learning, the acquisition of literacy and numeracy skills and endeavour to keep abreast of new approaches to teaching and learning that foster and build on children's interests and achievements. Our school has a unique and superb outdoor environment with large playing areas, large produce garden and greenhouse, wildlife area, pond, extensive composting facilities and adjoining woodland used for forest school sessions.
Pupils are offered a wide range of activities, in both scheduled lesson time, and in after school clubs. In school there is PE, which covers activities including Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics and Games such as Football and Cricket. This is a 'rolling' programme based around the seasons. In addition, the school has provided swimming at the nearby pool. After school the children are offered multi-skills, football and bowls. During holidays the school is visited by representatives from the local Leisure Centre offering a variety of sporting activities. The school also continues to offer extra French, dedicated ICT, and Music lessons. There is also an after school Craft club and Drama club. The school introduced a Newspaper club, produced solely from the contributions of the Y5/Y6 pupils, which has proved popular throughout the local area. All these activities are well attended, and very popular with pupils, and parents.

We aim to give children a really good start in life by developing their basic skills in literacy and numeracy while also giving them the chance to apply these skills in real life situations. Laureate is a Community Primary Co-Educational School, based in Newmarket (Suffolk), catering for the needs of children aged from 3 to 9 years old (Nursery to Year 4). The name of the school originates from 'Laureate II' - a racehorse owned by Mr James Hammond - and the main part of the school was built in 1900, on land originally belonging to the Hammond Stud. But the school has been extended a lot in recent years, and now has five classrooms, an ICT Suite and Library, and a separate, purpose built nursery. The main school consists of 5 classes (Reception Class, and Years 1 to 4). The school also has the benefit of classroom/teaching assistants in each class, to help the children progress as much as possible throughout their time here at Laureate.

Each year we aim to improve a few areas. Last year we were delighted to introduce increased residential experiences which you can read more about on the class pages. We also improved our national and international links resulting in the British Council Full International Award. Currently we are enhancing our teaching and learning to bring all this up to the good and outstanding standards evident in much of the school. The children are helping to redesign the outdoor spaces to make them more interesting and we are aiming to achieve a science award by demonstrating good practice throughout the school. The homework is set each Friday, and is collected in on the following Friday. This consists of spellings each week, and a piece of either Literacy or Numeracy. Our Teaching staff all take special interests in developing areas within the school.
North Cockerington Church of England Primary School is a friendly and popular rural school, serving the village of North Cockerington and surrounding villages near Louth. Our school is a much smaller than an average sized school and caters for pupils from 4 to 11 years. Currently, there are 85 pupils in our school, and are taught in three Classes; Class 1: Reception and Year 1, Class 2: Years 2 and 3, including half of Year 4, and Class 3: Years 5 and 6 together with the other half of year 4. We have just broken up after a very successful and busy autumn term. We visited our link school in Tanzania and have done a lot of fundraising for the kitchen that we are building for them.
