Rory first picked up a guitar in 1986, it was a 'Marlin Sidewinder' electric guitar (a gift from his brother) and from that day he was hooked. Before long Rory was learning to play guitar riffs from legendary artists past and present. But it was the bass elements of music that came naturally to his ear. He was developing a real love for music and the key role that bass played. From a young age, Rory could hear the drum pulse in music so clearly and now he just wanted to lock that in with this new, exciting bass sound.

After the all time record entries of 2, 761 in 2008 the Cheese complex will again be increased in size to over 58, 500 sq ft, new Horse Rings created within the new Equestrian Area, the showground roadway has been extended to over a mile in length, whilst the Cattle in a new prestigious location have had their marquee coverage enlarged to some 40, 500 sq ft, all under one roof, to accommodate the 600 we anticipate to be at the Show this year, and the Countryside Pursuits which has grown and grown, both in popularity and size will be in an enlarged area, to name but some of the improvements being made.

The Queen's College is a college of Oxford University and was founded in 1341 by Robert de Eglesfield. It was the dream of a group of West Devon music lovers to create a professional chamber orchestra. In 1998, the volunteer Steering Group appointed conductor Simon Ible to spearhead the launch of the new Ten Tors Orchestra, and with public funding from South Devon & Dartmoor LEADER II, the South West of England Regional Development Agency, South West Arts, West Devon Borough Council and South Hams District Council, a project called 'Music for the Millennium', was made possible. This was a series of ten concerts performed between September 1999 and December 2000 in small towns around Dartmoor.
