There is a quality of interaction between Practitioner and Patient that is emotionally satisfying to both, and which engages people in their own health care. Patients who are actively involved in their own health often have better outcomes. We have a team of qualified practitioners who will be available for consultation, by appointment, throughout the week.
I have been qualified as a Physiotherapist since 1975, working in both the National Health Service and the private sector, treating a wide range of conditions. For four years I was a senior Physiotherapist at the London Clinic and later became the head of a Midlands hospital Physiotherapy Department. I continue my association with the NHS by working a few hours a week in a local surgery. During my career I have gained an interest in the area of manipulation and mobilisation therapy and have passed the post-graduate examination of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. I have been the Chairman of the Midlands Branch and sat on the National Executive Committee for four years. In the last couple of years I have found that I am able to help people with balance and other related disorders. This is an exciting development in a relatively new area of treatment.

Chiropractic is a straightforward method of adjusting the bones of your body to maintain the correct alignment of your spine and to ensure that your body's nerve supply works efficiently. Your spinal column is made up of 24 movable vertebrae, the sacrum, and the coccyx. This column also houses the spinal cord through which nerve information is transmitted around the rest of your body. Whilst the spinal column maintains correct alignment, nerve information is passed accurately. However, if any part of your spinal column becomes misaligned then a nerve may become impinged, compressed, or stretched, distorting the information that passes along it. This can lead to pain, discomfort, or restricted mobility.
