The school offers a range of out of hours opportunities. This year the pupils have had access to football, netball, cricket, rugby, rounders, choir, recorders, drama, art and homework club. The school has competitive sports teams and the choir performs at the Kent Festival. Year 6 took part in a school journey: a 5 day outdoor residential activity. A range of responsibilities are given to pupils and Y6 make up the Prefect team act as 'buddies' for pupils. An out of hours club is available on site until 6pm every day and during holidays. Specialists and community clubs regularly visit and pupils are involved in activities such as Book days, Art days and History days. The PTA involves Y6 pupils and organises a range of interesting events. A talent day celebrates out of school interests.

South Borough aims to provide the highest standards of education in a caring and supportive learning environment so that our pupils can do their best. At South Borough, we believe that teachers, governors, staff, parents, and pupils all work together to make this happen. Our school has excellent facilities to cater for the needs of the families of our pupils. These include two playgrounds, an outdoor learning area for our 4 - 5 year olds, a purpose built nursery block for our nursery class, two halls, a library, a computer room, a family room and an outside environmental studies area. We share good relationships with two independent on-site nurseries and an out-of-school club, situated within our school premises.
