From time to time medical students may visit the practice and sit in with the doctors during consultations. This provides an invaluable aspect of their undergraduate training. You will be informed that students are present before your consultation and if you are unhappy with this arrangement please make the reception staff aware of your feelings so that you can see the doctor in private. The practice is also involved in the training of nurse prescribers and community matrons to help expand the role of nurses in the community.
