The Diversity Group was set up in 2006, with the aim of eliminating barriers within employment, education and training for minority groups in the UK. Throughout the last few decades, equality and diversity has evolved into a part of our everyday lives. There are however a vast majority of people in the UK from minority groups or backgrounds that don't believe this is the case. Through bad experiences, media bias or their own expectations, these people feel that they are discriminated against and do not have the chance to pursue their ultimate career.

In partnership with the Anfield Children’s Centre, we aim to care and educate children from birth to 11 years old by offering a wide curriculum delivered in brand new or refurbished accommodation. Pinehurst Primary School has a breakfast club that is open to all its pupils from 8.10 am until the start of the school day. We offer before and after school activities including Football, Science, Writing, Maths, Computers and First Aid. Our curriculum is extended and enhanced by Liverpool Music Support Service, who provide high quality music lessons to all our children. We employ a sports company called Xtra time who provide sports coaches to give the children high quality games and P.E. activities. We also employ a Spanish teacher who teaches all our children Spanish. The children are taken on a number of outings each year to link learning with the real world. Our Year 6 are taken on a residential holiday which offers additional activities beyond what we can offer in school, it also helps build relationships and strengthens children's resilience to new situations.
