Exilio are a community of followers of Jesus Christ, who are committed to living life with a pounding heart, an outstretched hand and a renewed mind - to be a voice of hope and a place of refuge. The name of our community comes from the sense of alienation many people feel - exiles from each other, from our planet and especially from God. Although our members come from diverse backgrounds we have discovered that somehow Jesus makes the connection that brings people home. We welcome people from all walks of life, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. So our community includes hardened sceptics and spiritual window shoppers as well as committed followers of Jesus. So whatever your circumstances - single, married, single again, with or without children, gay or straight – no matter what you’ve been through or what you’ve done, you matter to God. And to us.

  • FINDERN PRIMARY SCHOOL
DERBYSHIRE, DE65 6AR FINDERN, BUCKFORD LANE

Findern School has occupied its current site since 1923 when it was built to serve the rural communities of Findern, Stenson and Twyford. At that time the three villages were of a similar size but, as time went by, Findern grew rapidly towards the west whilst Stenson and Twyford retained their original size and character, leaving the school in its unusual rather isolated location. A number of extensions were added to the building during the 1930’s, 1970’s and 1980’s to provide accommodation for as many as 200 local children. At present we have approximately 123 children on roll. Throughout all these years the school, in partnership with parents, has made every effort to maintain and improve its educational provision with a traditional emphasis upon providing a foundation in basic subjects.
