We have 120 places for pupils to learn a musical instruments ranging from violin to steel pans. We also have a school choir, string group and wind band. Staff lead football and netball training and have matches with other schools. There is a summer football tournament that involves all year groups. Year 5 pupils go to swimming lessons every Monday throughout the year. Year 6 go on a residential school journey and year 7 on a long day trip to France. We have various clubs at lunch times and after school for children including reading, maths, ICT, performance, basketball, football and netball. The school also runs a breakfast and after school club.

After School clubs are popular with pupils, mainly from Year 2 and 3. These have included Football, Bollywood dance, French, Drama, Science, Short Tennis, Art, Kwik kricket. There is a Music club for talented musicians. French is taught to all Year 3 pupils. Year 2 enjoyed a drama workshop with Florence Nightingale, Year 1 built houses on ‘Lego Day’, Year 3 learnt about The Romans with Legion XIV. Whole school activities have included Art days for Diwali and Eid, Black History Month and World Book Day and in December we undertook a whole school Christmas concert which was successfully presented to our parents over 4 days. Our Art and Enterprise fortnight culminated in the first Enterprise Day. This was very successful and much enjoyed by all the children who took delight in making and selling their own products.

A number of school visits are made each year. A number of theatre groups come into school and children take part in workshops. Year 6 children have the opportunity to play netball and football after school. A running club takes place three times a week. We participate in tag rugby, netball, football, athletic, kwik cricket and multi sports tournaments and festivals. Children have good opportunities to take part in music activities. Children have small group lessons to learn an instrument. The school orchestra and choirs practice at lunch times.
