A wide variety of extra-curricular activities are available including a range of sports clubs; School Bands, choirs and music ensembles; History, Science and Dance Clubs; Discovery Club and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Students take part in Inter-House competitions and school teams have been extremely successful. Breakfast Club is organised with staff supervision for students to complete homework or use computers and a Homework Club takes place after school.Senior students run lunchtime homework clubs. Fieldwork activities and educational visits take place along with Activities/Residentials Week which provides an opportunity for students to be involved in outdoor pursuits at residential centres in the UK or abroad. Regular school visits to Europe and America take place including Ski-ing trips, and Humanities visits to Poland, Italy, France, Switzerland and Belfast.

The Royal Docks School is a rapidly improving school and we believe that becoming a Trust would allow us to improve further in a relatively short period. It will give us the opportunity to form partnerships with other educational institutions eg the University of East London and the Co-operative College. The formation of a Trust gives the opportunity for much more active partnerships to develop the life of the school – with students, parents & carers and with local primary schools.
The Specialist Schools Programme (SSP) helps schools, in partnership with private sector sponsors and supported by additional Government funding, to establish distinctive identities through their chosen specialisms and achieve their targets to raise standards.
Thomas Keble School is a Comprehensive School for pupils age 11 - 16 with Foundation Status. The school became a specialist technology college in September 2002 and became a ‘high performing specialist school’ in 2006, enabling us to take on sport as a second specialism. The school is currently oversubscribed in all years, with strong parental support -the school population has now risen to 690. Our pupils come from surrounding villages and from the town of Stroud five miles away.

Wirral Grammar School for Boys is a Foundation School; this means that we operate with a higher degree of independence than many other state schools.
