Back in 1981 my parents Nick & Joan Hardingham decided they wanted to get out of the 'rat race' and run a small-holding whilst raising a family. They bought the then derelict Alder Carr Farm near Needham Market and set about what was to be many years of hard, but enjoyable, work.
Open between Easter and October: 11.30am - 5.30pm, Tuesday - Sunday Closed Mondays (except Bank Holidays). Barford Farm is farm assured by EFSIS- FABBL (Farm Assured British Beef and Lamb) and NDFAS (National Dairy Farm Assurance Scheme). We are not organic but use our own animal manure on the land and adopt a crop rotational policy with grass, wheat, barley and maize.
