The origins of the Nottingham office date back over 150 years to the days of the Nottingham Stock Exchange, which was established in 1845. The current team of highly experienced investment managers has worked together for many years and built a strong reputation for providing a high class professional service.
Originally established in the 1940s, the Oxford office joined Brewin Dolphin in 2006. The team of highly experienced investment managers has worked together for many years and has built a considerable reputation in and around the Oxfordshire area. The team specialises in discretionary and advisory fund management for individuals, trusts, companies and charities. This encompasses ISAs, SIPPs and inheritance tax planning.
Originally established in 1863, the Plymouth office has been through many mergers and takeovers over the years and joined Brewin Dolphin in 2007. The Plymouth team of highly qualified investment managers has worked together for a long time and between them have over 200 years of experience in investment management and stockbroking. A private client team relocated from Edinburgh shortly thereafter and this team was almost immediately reinforced by the acquisition from James Finlay of a Discretionary Fund Management and Financial Services business. Since then, several teams have joined from other brokers, increasing the number of Directors to ten. The Corporate Advisory & Broking division has one of its six locations in Glasgow. Working closely with the investment management division and drawing on the knowledge of our multi-disciplined team of 60 professionals, we have been delivering successful growth solutions to clients for over 30 years.
The Reigate office opened in 1990, the first mainland branch to open outside of London. Since thens the branch has expanded fourfold and now consists of a well established and highly experienced team of six qualified investment managers and their support staff. The investment team specialises in providing bespoke solutions to their clients, including portfolio management, tax efficient investments, pension planning, inheritance tax planning and services for intermediaries, charities and trusts.
The Shrewsbury office is the latest addition to the Brewin Dolphin network, having opened in July 2010. The office works closely with private clients, trusts, charities and pension funds. Brewin Dolphin delivers individually crafted solutions for private clients and professional advisers and offers a wide range of investment banking services.
The Stoke office of Brewin Dolphin was established in July 2002 when Popes joined the group. Our clients are based all over the UK and overseas, and the issues they are faced with in managing their wealth can be complicated. The Swansea office of Brewin Dolphin became part of the group when Richard Croydon and Richard Kelly joined from Gerrard together with the support team. They have subsequently been joined by chartered financial planner, Tony Thomas, who shares his time between the Swansea and Cardiff offices. Four of the divisional directors in Taunton have worked together since 1994 and have established an excellent team. Our stretch of the Thames is named after Corney House, a walled medieval estate that was just downriver from the Pier. More recently, the area was home to the Thornycroft shipyard, whose bell may be seen in the Pier House. The large bollards along the wharf give evidence to the size of the ships once moored here.
