At Sandy Lane Children’s Centre we are responsive to the needs of the children and their families within the local area. The Centre provides high quality care, education and family support for children aged 0 - ? years. We involve a wide range of services and agencies to support the needs of children and their families. New children are admitted each September for 3 terms prior to attending Primary school. Children attend on a part-time basis of either 5 mornings or 5 afternoon sessions each week. If the Nursery has vacancies children are admitted the term following their 3rd birthday. The session times are: - Morning 9.00 – 11.30am; Afternoon 12.30 – 3.00pm.
Seabrook Primary School is a Church of England Controlled School located by the Royal Military Canal in Seabrook. There are 102 children on roll between the ages of 4 and 11. The children are organised into four classes as follows: Each class has its own class teacher and there are 4 full time and 2 part time teaching assistants offering support throughout the school.
Broadly speaking the classes are divided into age groups. There are two classes for 5 year olds, two classes for 5/6 year old children, one class for 6/7 year olds, two for 7/8 year olds, two for 8/9 year olds, two for 9/10 year olds, and two for 10/11 year olds. These classes all have boys and girls and have mixed ability. At different times of the day classes may be organised so that they may be working as a whole, in groups, or individually, according to the needs of the children. Each child is encouraged to work according to his/her own ability. Every child takes part in daily literacy and numeracy lessons.

In 2004-05 pupils were offered a wide selection of extra curricular activities. Our KS2 children had the chance to take part in football/netball/rounders/cross country and swimming and represent the school in these areas. We offered a number of musical opportunities, these included a choir, a 'strings' group and tuition for various instruments. We also offered after school clubs in Drama/Art/Dance.Our choir took part in the Local Schools Music Festival, supported our high school's production & gave a Christmas performance at the Local Hospice.Approximately 30 of our children took part in the local school's Dance Festival.Our Year 4, 5 & 6 children all took part in residential visits.As well as French being part of our curriculum we also ran exta curricular clubs in French and Spanish.
