They picked my cat up after He was found hiding under a car. Even though it was outside my house and He hadn't been hit or injured. They whisked him away and told me he needed to be seen or he could die from internal injuries etc. Once there, they held my cat and did x-rays, told me he needed to stay overnight even though I told them I had no money to pay private vet bills. Adding to that I was heavily pregnant at that time.
Once I'd spoken to the manager who then told me I could have taken my cat to the PDSA but not before they made me feel really guilty and told me my cat would be traumatised and would be waiting days for treatment with the PDSA. They would let me see my cat but not touch him. He was fine and there was nothing wrong with him at all as He hadn't been hit in the first place.
I was told my bill wouldn't be for more than £100 pounds by the manager which I said I would pay as that was all I had but when I got there to collect my cat they had given him more treatment (painkillers) which was added to my bill which was now £130 and they wouldn't give me my cat back untill I paid.
Be aware, these 'Vets' drive around at night and pick your cats and dogs up and claim they have been knocked down by a car and won't release your animal until you pay the fees. I will be making sure they are investigated. I am not stupid. I can see how you are scamming innocent people and using their good natures for your gain. You are appalling people and I would never ever recommend this practice to anyone.
