We have a broad curriculum which caters to meet the needs and interests of individuals e.g. Black History Month, Multilingual Month, Music Week, Science Week, Book Week, Health Week, Anti-bullying Week, two Sports Days, visiting authors, musicians and science dance and drama workshops. Our commitment to the arts helped us to be awarded the Arts Mark Gold.
Youngsters enjoy a wide variety of extra-curricular activities like ICT, art, Bollywood dancing, drama, food technology, eco, wildlife, French, Urdu, Gujerati, Tamil, choir, recorders, computer, library, good news and sports clubs. We have recently introduced an after school club and a breakfast club.
Children have responded well to off-site learning. They have visited museums, art galleries, theatres and had opportunities to stay overnight on residential trips.
The music curriculum is enhanced by our peripatetic teacher who teaches keyboard, trumpet and piano, and two teachers who take recorder club. The children have plenty of opportunities to work in teams within the classroom and as members of their particular House. They also represent the school in sports teams, in singing and dance to the community at Fairfield Halls Theatre.
