Short profile:
During the year we have a number of school clubs for children including Athletics, Basketball, Cookery, Cricket, Dance, Football, Karate, Rounders, Scenery painting and art, French, and Tag Rugby.We run two school residential visits during the year. Year six go to Osmington Bay in Dorset and Year four go to Barton Hall in Devon. In each trip a selection of team and confidence building activities are included.We endeavour to provide every age group with meaningful first hand learning experiences which support their learning including trips and visits to places of historical, geographical or scientific interest. We visit theatres or invite theatre groups into school as well as encouraging local visitors.Children throughout the school have the opportunity to visit the local secondary school - Uplands Community College to take part in activities including sport and drama and art in years 1 to 4, science, technology and sport in years 5 and 6.We link with Premium Sport to deliver a Sport Breakfast club for Key Stage 1 on a Monday and for Key Stage 2 on a Tuesday.
