Final implementations usually deploy web-based and server based technologies as well as highly usable desktop environments. TMIT World Limited was formed in 2007 from the merger of several English and Australian businesses. TMIT services are aimed at eliminating waste, repetition and duplication in business. By aligning IT to well constructed business processes, management is able to concentrate on business imperatives while remaining confident that IT will serve the business, not be a drain upon it. TMIT has clients in the UK and Australia. Recent projects include a wide-ranging business process design for one of Australia's largest fish exporters. This project, spanning 4 years, involved creating real-time industrial processes and back-office administration with a comprehensive and consistent work flow regime for the business. Built on a multi-user, multi-site distributed database, robustness, reliability and usability were critical elements of the client specification.
