A legacy to The Royal British Legion today can be a life saver for thousands in the years to come, and will preserve the Poppy as a symbol of hope for future generations. The Legion is committed to helping young people understand the issues of Remembrance, conflict and the importance of peace. To achieve this, we offer FREE learning resources designed to assist teachers and others working with young people.
Founded in 1921, the Legion is not just about those who fought in the two World Wars of the last century, but also about those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting for the freedom we enjoy today.The Central Band of The Royal British Legion is the Legion's flagship band. Quality musical entertainment has been our hallmark since 1945 and we are regular performers at events such as the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.
Our concert repertoire covers the musical spectrum and we also have links to over 50 other Royal British Legion Bands from all over the UK - from concert show bands, brass ensembles, pipe and drum, to marching carnival bands.
