Established in 1996 Monkey Puzzle Jewellery is a contemporary Jewellery Gallery in the heart of York. The stylish shop and relaxed atmosphere make for a perfect shopping and browsing environment. The range is varied and unique. Stunning Amber is complimented by modern, handcrafted silver designs. The stone set range consists of vibrant Chrysocolla, stylish Onyx and gorgeous Lapis. Local Whitby Jet and Derbyshire Blue John also feature in this collection.

Other semi precious stones have been used to make striking beaded necklaces. We also stock the Leju range of vegetable ivory jewellery which comes in an array of colours perfect for brightening up any outfit. Our selection of rings offer something for every special occasion, whether you are looking for a simple wedding band or an opulent engagement ring. Through Furrer-Jacot our customers are able to design their own perfect ring. For a more contemporary look Gina Frost Designs use untraditional metals such as titanium, steel and palladium to create rings with a modern twist. The Monkey Puzzle tree can be traced back to the Jurassic period and is closely link to both Amber and Jet. Baltic Amber is produced from a resin similar to that of the Monkey Puzzle and it is said that the best Jet was formed from extinct varieties of the tree.
