The Great Health Company, incorporates the Islington Sports Injury and Podiatry clinic. We offer a wide range of physiotherapy, chiropody, podiatry and massage treatments.
The Great Health Company for Physiotherapy Islington, North London provides a first class general physiotherapy service incorporating an active Sports Injury Clinic. We also use acupuncture for pain relief, for simple backache, whiplash and work-related (RSI) symptoms.
The Chiropody and Podiatry Department provides biomechanical assessments, video gait analyses, sports podiatry as well as general Chiropody care for corns, hard skin, veruccae, ingrowing toe-nails and bunions.
Detailed description:
We will ask a lot of questions about how the problem started, where you feel your symptoms, what makes them better and what makes them worse. The better you know your problem the easier it is to help you!
By LISTENING to what you have to say we can then ASSESS the problem more accurately and efficiently.
The initial EXAMINATION may involve using a model of the joint and muscles involved so that you leave with a clear idea of what is going on. This is in some ways the most important bit of the first session so ask as many questions as you like.
Then we can discuss how we suggest TREATING the problem, what techniques we might use, how long it might be expected to take to get better and what you can do at home to treat yourself.
Kay founded the Islington Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 1994. This became The Great Health Company in May 2003 when she incorporated the existing Chiropody and Podiatry Clinic into the practice to become a first-class multi-disciplinary service for both local people and injured sports people and dancers. She has worked both for the NHS and in private practice, in conjunction with local GP's and consultants for the past 20 years.
Kay is a member of The Serpentine Running Club.
