We have numerous extra curricular teams and clubs which staff organise on a voluntary basis. In Term 1 there were 16 such activities, Term 2 there were 17 and in Term 3 also 17. The activities include athletics, art, chess, choir, computers, cricket, cross country, dance, DT, drama, first aid, football, French, judo, maths, ocarina, pottery, science, tag rugby Educational visits and visitors are arranged for all year groups throughout the year to enhance the curriculum Residential trips are available to pupils in Year 4 (Kingswood, Lake District) and Year 6 (PGL, Shropshire) For performances, Yr 4 lead our Harvest Festival, Yr 5 the Christmas Service and Y6 present a Leavers' Play All children learn to play the ocarina Some children have peripatetic instrumental tuition A qualified swimming coach attends our lessons French lessons are taught by a specialist linguist in two year groups We are a centre for "Young Enterprise" activities Year 5 and 6 pupils work with the Liverpool Compact teams termly on team building activities Pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for certain roles within the school eg buddies, lunch helpers etc. The School Council meet regularly and allows pupils to take an active part in school decisions
