St Andrew’s is a school at the heart of a remarkable community, and we benefit greatly from that community as well as making our own strong contributions. We are proud of our excellent past and excited about what lies ahead, willing to build on our traditions and to experiment with new ideas. We are ambitious for our children as we prepare them for their future.

Detailed description:
The school offers a wide range of activities before and after school and at lunchtime all of which help to considerably enhance the curriculum. The take up of both paid and free activities is very high. All children are encouraged to join the clubs and take part in all out of school activities. Subsidised or free places may be available where payment is required. Sports activities out of school include rugby, football, netball, athletics and swimming in our school pool.
Before school there is a breakfast club where children may arrive at 8 a.m. and enjoy a healthy breakfast followed by activities in our ICT suite. Once a week before school, children may take part in a running club as well as weekly aerobics sessions led by a qualified aerobics teacher.
Whole school activities such as Science week or Book weeks are also held and offer further opportunities for enrichment.
Children are also offered tuition in piano, keyboard, viola and violin, some paid, some free.
Feedback from parents and children regarding these activities is very positive.
