At Sparkenhoe, we work to ensure the highest quality education for all of our pupils. We are a school with high standards and high expectations of our children, not just in their academic ability but also in their behaviour and attitudes. We recognise all talents and abilities and do our best at all times to ensure that our children enjoy their time with us as well as achieve their very best.
We are a positive and welcoming school which believes strongly that parents, carers and families are a very important part of a child’s learning and we work closely with them. Visitors are always welcome into our school and many comment on the feeling of warmth and care.

Key Aims: To develop a sense of community and a set of values shared by parents, teachers, children and governors; To create a caring, family atmosphere in which teaching and learning can take place in a safe and happy environment; To have high expectations of each individual’s academic and social abilities within a well-matched and stimulating curriculum; To nurture self esteem through the encouragement and reinforcement of good behaviour and achievement; To teach through the school curriculum, values and attitudes as well as knowledge and skills in order to promote responsible behaviour, encourage self-discipline and encourage in children a respect for themselves, for other people and for property; To teach the children to be responsible for their own actions and the consequences. Sparkenhoe is as committed to making the school as accessible to children and adults with disabilities as possible. We will consider a placement for any child at our school.
We have wheelchair access both inside and outside both buildings and also have specially adapted toilets for wheelchair users.
