Based in Hampshire, UK, Solent Ribs are manufacturers of rigid inflatable boats. We are able to provide our customers with boats built to their own specifications. All our boats are made to order and completely build in the UK. We ensure a high level of quality control. Our hulls and tubes are inspected for quality and finished appearance. Our engine installations are carried out by qualified marine engineers who ensure the correct set up and instrumentation rigging. We also ensure that we provide a complete customer service from initial enquiry to servicing, storage, modification or upgrade, for all of our customers. Our hulls carry a 5 year warranty and the tubes made by Henshaws carry a 1 year warranty.

SOLENT RIB 460 - This rib has been designed to suit the needs of sailing clubs looking for a dry and stable rib they can use for coaching and safety purposes. It handles more like a 5.5m rib in the water but is compact enough to fit in a garage. It is easy to launch on a launching trolley by two people. The rib can be built with commercial D fender used in training and club applications. This rib also features the ability to store the fuel tank in the console unit at the front, keeping the deck space clear. The rib is easy to tow behind a small family car and does not need a braked trailer. It would be an ideal rib to consider if moving up from a jet ski to a more versatile rib. Average build time 4 weeks. The Solent Rib 585 is an excellent first time boat. It performs like a 6.5m with 135hp outboard engine. This rib is easy to drive and handle and small enough to store in a standard garage. Following positive feedback from our customers we have introduced the Solent Rib 585. We wanted to build a rib that had the same performance as the 650 but was more practical for towing and storing. The SR585 is narrower than the SR600 and so it really will make a difference if space is an issue. However we have developed the rib so that it does not compromise on performance or its handling abilities. We have developed a special package for this rib with either a Mercury 60hp 4 -stroke or with a Mercury 75hp 4 stroke. Just on these engines the rib has tested at 35mph with the F60hp and 45mph with the F75hp. The commercial training SR585 was designed for the RYA as a specialist coaching boat. The fully rigged rib with a Yamaha F60 EFI only weighs 500 kilos which enables the boat to be transported on a trailer with sailing dinghies traveling around the country. It can be easily towed at a comfortable speed with a non commercial car such as a Volvo estate.
