We are interested in identifying carers, especially those people who, whatever their age, may be caring without help or support. We know that carers are often "hidden" looking after a family member or helping a friend or neighbour with day to day tasks and may not see themselves as a carer. Caring for someone is an important and valuable role in the community, which is often a 24 hour job that can be very demanding and isolating for the carer
Detailed description:
Our practice nurse and health care assistant are on duty during surgery hours and see patients for routine procedures such as dressings, ear syringing and general advice. They are able to discuss issues of health promotion and chronic disease monitoring eg diabetes A full range of services is provided, including fitting of coils, emergency contraception, nexplanon implant etc If routine vaccinations and travel immunisations are required, please enquire at reception. You will then be advised of the vaccinations you need and an appointment can be made with the practice nurse. We advise you to arrange your appointment 3 months in advance of your travel to discuss requirements.
