Short profile:
Each class goes on an outing or has a visit every term related to the subject they are studying.
We have both a breakfast club and an after school club called Pear Tree Club.
Sport is encouraged for all children as part of the curriculum and as an extra curricular activity. Sports coaches teach one afternoon a week in years 4, 5, and 6. Year 5 go swimming in the summer term. Our football team is successful and takes part in all the local leagues. We run a Sports Week where children have the opportunity to try various different sports.
We enter local competitions for football, cricket, running, athletics, dance and netball.
Every day at lunchtime or after school we run clubs. The range of clubs is vast; we offer anything from Bollywood dance to embroidery, from French to Gymnastics.
We have a Gold Artsmark and offer a creative curriculum with an emphasis on the creative arts. We have a choir of nearly 100 members and more than 4 dance teams.
The introduction of morning activities has been very successful and we will develop this next year.
