PARISH CHURCH C OF E JUNIOR SCHOOL

The Parish Church CE Nursery and Infant School is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School within the Diocese of Southwark and the London Borough of Croydon. There are places for 348 pupils at the school, of which 270 pupils are in the Infant School and 78 part-time pupils in the Nursery.

Club activities at lunchtime: gardening, nature trail, French, Italian. After school: football, netball, judo, Karate athletics, art&craft, dance Music activities; choir, ensemble, recorders, lessons in flute, fife, violin, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, piano Year 4 residential trip to Truleigh Hill, Year 6 residential trip to Carrotty Wood Numerous fund raising activities for Kidcare organised by pupils, including talent shows, clothes design and insect club. Christmas and summer shows held each year. The Parish Church Childrens Club, run as a limited company by guarentee, is run for children in the Infant and Junior Schools offering breakfast, after school and holiday care. The club is run with the same ethos as the two schools.All classes perform an assembly for the whole school. A Talented art weekend  and whole school projects produce Art to hang in school. We hold an Annual Sports Day including participation for all as well as competitive events. Choir and dance groups perform at Fairfield Hall with the CSM and Dance Associations.We run school teams in football, netball, athletics and cross country.We have a Zap club for children interested in creative art.We run an annual writing and poetry competition for the children.
