The confederation was founded in 1942 in Oxford, UK. Their initial concern is to relieve famine, to offer better life and health conditions to those in need. Donations gained transformed the lives of more than 14 million people around the world.

    Everybody knows at least 4 or 5 Oxfam bookshops for good holiday read, school read... But I've never known that they are actively participating in giving books a longer life by opening stores for second-hand books. A wonderful idea, don't you think so?
