NODDFA CENTRE

Noddfa is a Welsh word meaning haven or refuge - a place of peace and welcome a place where you can regain energy. It is the name of the centre run by the sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary in Penmaenmawr, on the North Wales coast.

We are delighted to welcome groups and individuals from England, Scotland, and Ireland as well as other parts of Wales. We hope that anyone who comes to Noddfa will feel at home and enjoy being with us in this lovely place.

Noddfa is well situated for visiting the spectacular Snowdonia National Park, the historic town of Conwy and its castle, the seaside town of Llandudno, Anglesey and many more places of interest.

Noddfa is the ideal venue for groups or individuals to come away and retreat from their normal routine. We run individually guided retreats, spirituality courses and other events and provide the setting for groups to hold their own courses.

Come on retreat with a group from your parish or organisation. Try a few days away, where you spend the mornings quietly in reflection or sharing and then enjoy the beauty of the sea or the hills in the afternoon.

We welcome those of you who care for the sick or the disabled in your homes, when you have the opportunity for a break.

We offer weekends to help thesegroupswith planning and reflection.

As well as the organised retreats listed below it is possible to make a retreat at other times. Spiritual direction is possible, if arranged beforehand, or you can just have space to relax and do your own thing.

Noddfa is ideal for small conferences. With accommodation and conference facilities for up to 40 people, we can cater for single day, weekend, or longer events.

It is possible to combine important meetings with times of relaxation for the enjoyment of the wonders of the Snowdonia National Park.

It is a lovely old house which has views of the sea and the hills.
