Nicole’s work is created using both traditional and contemporary jewellery techniques. She loves to explore and expand her knowledge in a range of disciplines, forever needing to create something new. The jewellery is often created in silver, combining colour and spirit with precious/semi-precious gemstones and crystals.
Detailed description:
Design is influenced by Natural Wonder; life, growth, metamorphosis and colour. Influences can appear from many aspects of life. Everything beautiful and appealing captures her attention and inspires. She likes to believe anything is possible.
Nicole taught herself to make jewellery as a hobby, ideas kept popping into her head and after exhausting her beads, she found herself enrolled onto a part time jewellery course at Cleveland College of Art and Design, which ultimately led completing her BA (Hons) Applied Arts for Enterprise. In a matter of months she had discovered a passion for all things silver, shiny and colourful.
While Nicole’s work will be sold through retail outlets and galleries within the UK, she also offers a commissioning service to produce bespoke personal pieces. She plans to offer workshops for customers wanting to make their own jewellery.
Nicole has produced work for the NHS and Coats Crafts. She has also worked with Make your mark, and sold her work at various outlets.
