Detailed description:
Membership is drawn from across the North East, with around 110 regular singers. We perform three major concerts each year from a repertoire that ranges from more traditional major works of sacred music to modern choral pieces in a variety of venues. The Past performances section has details.
Accompanist Eileen Bown has an active freelance career as soloist, orchestral pianist, accompanist and coach. Future plans include performing a suite of African music with local youth choirs and an outreach programme to make choral singing more accessible to a wider audience and participants.
New members are always welcome, so if you are interested in singing a wide variety of music in a large choir under expert, friendly and fun direction come and join us. Details in the Membership section.
