We are Cornwall's only dedicated barefoot walking and running shop. Selling minimalist footwear to enhance your gait and allow you to walk as near to the way nature intended as possible whilst still wearing shoes. We provide rehabilitation for foot, leg and back problems. We run a multi-disciplinary clinic of health professionals and fitness experts where our main focus is to "keep you moving".
Out of our desire to assist our patients & clients to keep moving we offer help to those who are injured or in pain. We also try to offer the best advice on prevention of injuries. We believe "PREVENTION IS FAR BETTER THAN CURE."
Detailed description:
We believe passionately that human beings function better when walking and running barefoot, or as near to barefoot as possible using minimalist footwear when footwear is required either for occupational or social reasons.
Out of our belief in Prevention, we teach that natural walking helps you avoid injuries and helps you enjoy a better quality of life as you get back to nature and re-connect with mother earth.
We realise that not everyone can fully enjoy the benefits of natural or barefoot walking & running. Sometimes there are very good reasons why people cannot return to a natural gait pattern, either through arthritis or other medical complaint or through occupational or social requirements. In these cases we teach alternative exercises to help, and offer functional orthotic devices to aid normal function.
