nalgao is the national organisation for local arts. It champions the provision and support for local arts and artists of all types and kinds, professional, amateur and voluntary. And its members are also involved with the creative industries at local level.
Detailed description:
nalgao works through its 415 members most of which are in England and Wales and many of which are local government arts and cultural officers. However the organisation has a growing number of associate members who are arts professionals working in a range of disciplines including arts marketing and arts consultancy.
nalgao also has a number of significant partnerships and relationships at a national level with bodies like Arts Council England, the Local Government Association, the National Campaign for the Arts, the Voluntary Arts Network, the National Cultural Forum and the Department for Culture Media and Sport.
