Short profile:
Our Year 2 pupils have enrichment clubs after school which include Country Dancing, Drama, D.T. & Cookery, Story club and History. A wildlife club and choir operates for Year 2 pupils in the lunchbreak. This year a highly successful and award winning Gardening club has flourished.
Each year group takes part in a performance during the year and also concerts.
Local clergy visit to take assemblies and children
Professor Brainstorm visits each term to support learning in science. Other visitors include African Story Teller, Martin the Puppet Man, Berkshire Maestros. a Percussionist, theatre groups and an author.
The School works with Willink for Computer Studies and artwork and language assistants support the teaching of French in Year 2. The Comenius Assistant works with children throughout the school on cultural diversity.
Theme days/weeks such as Book week, Polish Week and Arts Week extend the children's understanding of their world.
