Detailed description:

Korean technology company Samsung is to introduce a new type of memory that could boost the battery life of its mobile phones by up to 20 percent.

Known as phase change memory, the modules are built from material that the company says is more capable than existing technology, but actually simpler to manufacture.

The move could see phase change memory begin to replace the more traditional flash memory currently used in most mobile devices.

The company claims that the new memory reads and writes up to three times faster than flash and expects the technology to power a whole new generation of consumer electronics.

    Agreed. Yet again, on the busiest shopping day of the year, Mr Site has crashed along with our web shop. They turn off the phone lines and customer support is ZERO. Avoid this product if you value your business.

    One Star is one star too much. Do not buy the Mr Site products - my partner has had the misfortune to have to deal with them and the customer service is absolutely terrible. Sites go down and there is no notification. Bugs do not get fixed until sufficient people complain. They have actually removed the intranet forum on the site to stop Mr Site users being able to discuss common problems. Terrible, terrible, terrible.
