Short profile:
Mount Pellon School was founded as a primary school in 1989, after the closure of Ostler Secondary School. From a small beginning as a Nursery school, we have evolved into Calderdale's largest primary school, proud to serve the community of West Central Halifax and equally proud of our 600 pupils, from Nursery age to Year 6.

Our children speak between them no fewer than 18 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Edo, English, French, German, Kurdish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Mirpuri Punjabi, Polish, Punjabi, Russian, Shona, Slovakian, Urdu and Vietnamese - so we can truly claim to be a multi-cultural school!
