Amongst the best quality holiday apartments, centrally situated in historic York.

Three award-winning holiday apartments, amongst the best York has to offer. These luxury self-catering apartments can be rented for weekends, mid-week breaks or longer.

Light and airy and furnished to an extremely high standard, they are spotlessly clean with crisp white linen, soft white towels and complimentary toiletries.

Each sitting room has a digital TV/DVD player, a selection of DVDs, a small library of books, lighting can be adjusted making as bright or subdued as required with the use of table lamps and spotlights in addition to overhead lighting. There is a CD/radio with a few CDs to be enjoyed by guests. Radio/alarm clocks are provided in all the master bedrooms. In addition, No 12 has a television in the larger bedroom. (Not screwed onto a bracket on the wall!) There is free Wi-fi internet access.

Detailed description:

Kitchens are modern and equipped with washing/drying machines, microwaves, fridge-freezers and dishwashers. Really sharp knives, heavy based pans and extras that help to make self-catering enjoyable. There is a Sainsburys supermarket across the road.

Bathrooms are modern with baths and over-bath showers

A warm welcome awaits all guests. A tray set for afternoon tea with home baking on arrival. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are always in the apartments as are food items that are annoying to buy in small quantities such as vinegar, oil, salt, pepper and a small selection of herbs and spices. In addition hampers of locally produced foods, celebratory hampers, champagne, hand-made chocolates can always be supplied upon request. Wonderful for a romantic last-minute break away.

It is the attention to detail which ensures that our guests return time after time and recommend us to their family and friends.

It is also reassuring to know that these apartments are personally managed by the owners who have 25 years experience in providing holiday accommodation to visitors to Yorkshire. They are close at hand if needed to help, give advice and both being from North Yorkshire, they can provide local knowledge when needed.

Monkbridge Court won the award for the best self-catering in 2004. The award was presented with the words "Monkbridge Court sets the standard that all self-catering establishments should aspire to". We continue to strive to maintain the high standard required of guests in the 21st century. Their satisfaction is paramount to us. We continue to strive to find ways to exceed our guests expectations.

    The apartments are perfect for anybody visiting the city. The location is perfect, the furniture and the decor are classy. The self catering apartments really made all the difference. I stayed in for 3 days and I had everything I wanted in one place.

    During my short stay in York, I got one of the 3 apartments and I was pleased with the 4 star conditions. Indeed, there is nothing more freely than the luxury of self catering. I found everything I needed in one place, my luggage consisting only in a suitcase. Thumbs up!

    The no 5 apartment I stayed it is spacious, airy and it has all the comfort you can possibly imagine, Fully self catered, of course. It was a lovely stay and I will return any time.

    During my stay here at the Monkbridge Court, I could enjoy the luxury and comfort of a four star hotel apartment but with the freedom and space of self catering. I am not one to stick to a strict program or schedule so this was definitely a plus for me.

    Definitely one of York’s finest self catering apartments. If you want luxury self catering at its best, look no more. This is definitely the place to have a relaxing weekend of a vacation, while exploring the wonderful York historical surroundings.
