Here are some of the activities available to the children at Midhurst Primary:
In school:
All children learn French and may have opportunities to learn the rudimentaries of another language.
PE and Games are delivered by the teachers, Brighton and Hove FC (who have won a national 'work in the community' award, ) and by a swimming coach.
The teaching of music in the curriculum is strong. Talented staff support the choir, instrumental lessons and composes for the school concerts/ music evenings. Additional instruments and band participation is available through a visiting music teacher
We have improved the outdoor environment and its use so that it is more attractive, encourages outdoor learning and is a calmer place that supports more settled learners.
All classes have educational visits to support their cross-curricular learning.
Year 5 children take part in a very popular extended educational visit to Pembrokeshire.
All classes take part in local studies and receive local visitors who enhance their enjoyment and understanding of the taught curriculum.
Extra-curricular:
Football clubs, Netball club, Recorders, Guitars, Karate, Wildlife, ICT, Rugby sessions, children initiated clubs, brass and woodwind
