At Mickleover Surgery our aim is to provide patients with the highest possible standard of medical care delivered efficiently and effectively, utilising the skills of our Primary Health Care Team. We run a number of clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
Detailed description:
Midwife run antenatal clinics are held at the practice on Tuesday mornings. Where there is a need the midwife will arrange to see patients at home for their antenatal care. Patients who are planning a family are advised to make an appointment to see one of the practice nurses who are able to provide pre-conceptual advice. The practice offers a full range of family planning services to patients including oral contraception, contraceptive injections, contraceptive implants and coil fitting, all by appointment only.
