Situated in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town of Chipping Campden, next to the old woolmarket, you will find Michael’s Mediterranean Restaurant. Michael Alexiou bought The Woolmarket House in 1986 and transformed it into the charming unique restaurant it has become today. The building dates from c1720 and enjoys two magnificent inglenook fireplaces. Michael & Sarah Alexiou extend a warm welcome to you, whether you are popping in for coffee, a light lunch or joining us to sample our extensive dinner delights. Wine and dine in relaxed surroundings with the warm ambience of open fires and a friendly service. We serve the best in Greek food complemented by Mediterranean cuisine.

From a delightful array of Mezze dishes, fresh fish and seafood with seasonal daily specials to our renowned “Marathona” Fillet Steaks. Most of our ingredients are locally sourced; we are passionate about serving superb quality home cooked food. We look forward to welcoming you soon! We serve a wide range of food, from light Mediterranean to our more traditional English home cooked dishes. From delicious salmon cakes with tomato red onion lime and chilli salsa to our ever popular fresh cod in beer batter and chunky chips, there’s something for everyone.

We have a great children’s menu too, all healthy home cooked food! For anyone needing 'lunch on the go', we also have a great daytime takeaway menu. On Sundays we offer something special - a traditional Cypriot lunch. Michael prepares lamb and chicken on the spit from his BBQ grill, as well as fresh fish platters, to complement our lunchtime menu, We welcome you to a long leisurely lunch the Cypriot way! We are open Tues to Sat: 11.00am - 2.30pm, Sun: 12.00pm - 3.00pm.
