Mendip Moments award winning, luxurious ice cream is handmade on the family dairy farm in Somerset using milk and cream from our pedigree herd of Holstein cows. We also have a range of refreshing, dairy free sorbets, bursting with fruit and made with the water from our own Mendip Spring.
We are committed to achieving the best quality ice cream, knowing that our customers appreciate good food and are interested to know what is in it and where the ingredients have come from. Our cows graze leisurely on lush pastures overlooking the Somerset levels and Glastonbury Tor, and we source as many of our other ingredients as locally as possible from good quality suppliers – helping both the local economy and reducing food miles.
Needless to say, we use only natural ingredients and no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.
Since we began in 2006 we have consistently won awards for quality and taste. We are extremely proud of our ice cream and are always delighted to receive recognition. We were thrilled to learn in July 2010 that our signature ice cream – Mascarpone, Fig & Honey – has received a TWO STAR GOLD award at the Great Taste Awards 2010. This is particularly special to us as the gold & black logo has become the benchmark for independently proven, fine food. This was the third time we entered this competition and we have now won Gold awards every year!
