As part of our curriculum we include many enrichment activities.
Detailed description:
Last year we had over 70 special events. These include visits out of school and inviting visitors into school, inviting parents into to special events in school and taking part in local community events. The children regularly visit the local museum at Brampton, Shugborough Museum, Stapely Water Gardens, Blackbrook Zoo and The New Victoria Theatre. There are visits made to farms, the allotments and Community Gardens in the local area, as well as the War Memorial and local places of worship.
Visitors to our school include representatives of the local churches and charities, environmental groups, Theatre Workshops and Travelling Theatre Groups. Extra-curricular activities include Games, Football, Dance, Tag Rugby, Short Tennis, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Rounders, Athletics, Music, ICT, Art, Drama, Gardening, French, Puzzle Club and Choir. Equipment is made available for children to use during lunchtimes and a Playleader is employed to support these activities.
We have recently established links with another school to enable our pupils to work and learn alongside other children with different life experiences.
