Detailed description:
Small classes and a one form entry create a unique intimacy that ensures that all our pupils grow both socially & academically into fine ambassadors for the school and wider community. Our roll of around 200 pupils means that we are one big happy family where everyone knows everyone else. MMK is also a family school in another sense too: many former pupils have gone on to send their own children here, and siblings clamour to follow siblings.
In the compact schedule that is a Jewish school timetable, we somehow manage to teach the National Curriculum (with outstanding results) alongside Jewish Studies & Ivrit; provide a wealth of sports & games, as well as music & drama; host VIP guests and visit places of interest; support many charities both local, far afield, Jewish & general; and promote citizenship, environmental awareness and community service. The variety of our extra-curricular activities is legendary!
Our teachers are renowned for their dedication and are fondly remembered by those who have been under their wings; our parents involve themselves in a whole host of activities from class trips to fund-raising events; and our governors bring a vast range of professional expertise and a strong personal interest in achieving only what is best for the school.
We are truly a partnership between pupils, teachers, parents & governors meaning that pupils leave MMK as responsible 11-year-olds, ready to face the new challenge of secondary education, further education, contributing to the community and ultimately employment.
